SERVICE PROJECT IDEAS
Help out at scheduled
activities and programs. Individuals and Groups are needed to assist with
scheduled activities and programs. (Specificschedules are published in
our monthly newsletter.) Volunteers help by assisting and socializing
withprogram participants. Volunteers may also assiststaff members by serving
food, setting up, cleaning upand/or supervising portions of the activity.
Sponsor an activity
or program. Sponsors help arrange and plan for a specific activity or
program. This may or may not include providing supplies, entertainment
or food. Ideas include, but are not limited to:

a. Interior Building Painting.requires some skill or experience (hallway,
front entry & rear entry).
b. Produce a Video about our program.
c. Update / Re-do our Program Brochure.
d. Write an Employee Policies and Procedures Manual.
e. Organize a group participation fundraiser.
f. Take photographs of programs and participants. Create a Photo Essay.
g. Create Art to be displayed at our building. (Paintings, Sculpture,
etc.)
h. Write Grants.
i. Develop a volunteer recruiting and training program.
j. Organize an Awareness Fair.
k. Help set up an Accounting/Bookkeeping program.
l. Provide a health-screening clinic. (i.e.: vision, hearing, etc.)
m. Write a Human Interest Article for the newspaper.
n. Set up a Computer Web Site.
o. Teach Computer skills.
p. Decorate our building for an upcoming holiday or special event.
q. Donate small gifts to be given out to program participants for their
birthdays.
r. Make seasonal or generic "goodie bags" that can be distributed
to program participants.
s. Collect Christmas gifts that can be given out to program participants.
t. Install a cement pad (and pavilion if possible) for picnic tables
in our park.
u. Install lighting for our main entrance and walkway.
v. Anything Else?.The sky is the limit.
w. Bike-a-thon, Run, Walk, Bowling, Rodeo, Intercollegiate Competition,
Concert, Dance, etc.

e. Dinnerware, Paper & Plastic Products (plates, utensils, cups,
bowls, napkins, toilet paper, foil, trash bags, plastic wrap, food bags)
